Introduction
The Lounge Chair by Mater, designed by Space Copenhagen, builds on The Dining Chair’s and High Stool’s beautifully fluid, sculptural and archetypal character. The backrest and seat are larger and generously rounded for a heightened sense of comfort. The seat and backrest are upholstered in soft, durable Sørensen Leather and are fully supportive and comfortable so that it outweighs the need for armrests. Durable for both private and public use.

Sustainability
Leather: Upholstered in Sørensen Leather — a named Danish leather house Mater specifies for this collection (alongside Kvadrat and Gabriel in its standard upholstery range). The two colourways are distinct Mater finishes: Black pairs black Sørensen Leather with black-stained solid FSC® beech, and Beige pairs natural tanned Sørensen Leather with natural matt lacquered solid FSC® oak. Leather is a natural material that develops character with age and daily use; regular care helps keep its finish lasting.
FSC® Certified wood: From the very beginning, Mater has used FSC-certified wood for wooden products in the collection. In an FSC® certified forest, no more trees than the forest can reproduce are felled.
Repair for long lasting: Built for long use, with parts designed so you can repair rather than replace.
CO₂ Footprint: Mater publishes Life Cycle Assessments for its furniture. This chair’s footprint is 80 kg CO₂e per Mater’s product sheet.
